Tteokpokki with squids is yammy!

There's nothing better than warming up with some spicy food.Topokki is arguable the most popular street food in Korea. During the winter, it is very common to see tented stalls. Step inside and warm yourself next to the stoves that the Topokki is made from.

Add sliced squids, green onions, fish cakes with gochujang sauce.

I love hot and spicy!!

Hot & Spicy Rice Cake! Tteokpokki 떡볶이
prep time : 10 MINUTES cook time : 20 MINUTES total time : 30 MINUTES
yields : 2 AS A MAIN, 6 AS A SIDE
Ingredient

3 cups garaetteoks (2-3”long rice cakes)

½ tablespoon sesame oil
-
1 tablespoon olive oil
-
½ small squids (8 oz), sliced thin into 2” long
-
4 ounces rolled fried fishcake(1 sheet), sliced thin into 2” long
-
3-5 roots green onions, sliced into sticks
Spicy Gochujang Sauce
-
11/2 tablespoon red pepper paste (gochujang)
-
1 tablespoon red pepper flakes
-
1 tablespoon fish sauce
-
1 tablespoon sugar
-
3-5 cloves garlic, grated
-
½ teaspoon ginger, grated
-
1 tablespoon sesame oil (any kind of oil)

½ cup broth of dried anchovys or water
Instructions To make tteokpokki, add the gareatteoks to a boiling water for
3-4 minutes until soften, if it is hard and drain it with cold water.
Rub drained garaetteoks with ½ tablespoon of sesame oil.
Frozen garaetteoks needs to be melted before to a boiling water.
To make the gochujang spicy sauce, combine the red pepper flakes,fish sauce, sugar, garlic, water, sesame oil in a small bowl and mix with gochujang.
Heat a large, high sided skillet over medium heat, rub inside with 1 tablespoon olive oil, once hot, add squids and cook for 2-3
minutes until lightly cooked, back to medium heat, add
fish cakes and garaetteoks, green onions and the spicy gochujang sauce. Mix all and cook another 1 minute.
