Spinach Namul Sigeumchi Namul Muchim 

시금치 나물 무침

 

Popeye was definitely on to something. Spinach is

a super food loaded with tons of nutrients in a low calorie package.  Dark leafy greens like spinachare important for skin and hair, bone health, andprovide protein, iron, vitamins  and minerals.  

 

Spinach with minced garlic, salt and crushed sesame seeds and sesame oil.

Boil the spinach in the hot water for less than 1 minute and drain  in a cold water and aquize them tightly.

 Spinach Namul Muchim

 prep time :15 MINUTES    cook time :15 MINUTES    total time : 30 MINUTES

 

 yields :  2 AS A MAIN, 4 AS A SIDE                                           

Ingredients

 

  • 1 bunch(1/2 pound) spinach

  • ½ teaspoon anchovy sauce

  • ½  teaspoon salt

  • 1-2 cloves garlic, minced or grated

  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds, crushed halfway

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

 

 

Contructions

 

Add the water to a large size pot. Bring to over medium boil and

add a pinch of salt to make nice green to look and add washed fresh spinach.  

Slightly cook it for 1-2 minutes. Drain quickly in a colander with

drizzling cold water over. Squize them tightly in two hands and

cut into a bite size or half.

 

In a medium bowl mix together spinach, anchovy sauce, salt and

crushed sesame seeds and drizzing sesame oil and toss to mix.
